Archeological Findings and Debate

When we look at all the treasures that are found in the old tumuli of the Kofun Era and the artifacts found that pre-date those times, we can begin to realize the true timing of history that has occurred in Japan. We know the appearance of iron and bronze showed contacts with China and Korea. The stone age, which was the most advanced in the world, only finally ended about 1,000 years ago in this country.

This shows us that there was a great separation of the different races and tribes of people who were here in those times. While some of them had iron, others were still in the Stone Age. Japan's pottery has the oldest history in the world. Japan is so unique in so many ways that I can never get tired of looking for and finding really ancient stories about it.

The whole country was like a special experiment in social activity and government. Due to the strength of some people and the clever thinking of others, Japan has developed an absolutely fantastic culture and style of life. The morals of the people have been guided into channels that make them gentle, honest and studious. The introduction of various religions has also shown itself in Japan and the ways they have been merged into existing religions to suit the lives of the people.

The development of arts such as Tea, painting, carving, metal working, the dance and the theater have all shown a debt to China and Korea. The religions mentioned above also came from all over the world. Folk stories that are older than any other legend, show connections to Europe and the South Pacific as well as to China and Korea. Aren't you fascinated by the many facets of Japanese life and how they began? They make me very excited and I will continue studying them forever!
